Were on a Novell network and each workstation has their own anti-virus software running (Norton, McAfee, etc.) and I don't know what the file server has.
I'll try your suggestion, thanks.

>>Hi,

>>Finally traced slowdown in our VFP6 multi-user app that takes it over 2 minutes to get to the login screen. It was in the program that opens and sets up tables, cursors and local views.
>>
>>The slowdown only happens for all subsequent logins after the first. Anyone who logs in first takes less than 10 seconds but everybody else takes over 2 minutes.
>>
>>I've set start and end times for each open and setup of each table/cursor/local view and it takes each about 3 to 4 seconds to complete. With over 30 tables/cursors/local views to open and setup, that converts to 90 to 120 seconds.
>>
>>Most of the tables have less than 100 records and I only do the following:
>>SELECT 0
>>USE MyTable
>>SET ORDER TO MyOrder

>>Anyone knows what's going on? I'd appreciate any help on this. TIA.
