A client has a strange problem. He has a W2KPro workstation attached to a W2KServer LAN. He logs in to the domain with his domain account; that account was made a member of the local Administrators group. All was fine & good from February up until now.

He gets back from a week's vacation; he can still log into the domain but his local profile is "mostly" inaccessible - when he tries to go into OL2000 or IE5.5 he gets the "first timer" wizards. He can't see his own 200MB+ Outlook Personal Folders file (amongst others) even when doing a complete drive search. However, some custom desktop/system tray icons appear to be present (that aren't in the All Users profile).

His domain account is still a member of the local Administrators group. Removing him then putting him back in has no apparent effect. The local Administrator account can see the .PST file; he can't.

The volume is FAT32. I'd like to convert him to NTFS but not until this problem is resolved.

Any ideas, anyone?
Regards. Al
