>Intellisense is not a language enhancement. Code written with it is no different from code written without it and runs no faster. It is not visible to the end-user and has no effect on their eXPerience < g >. Compared to improvements in earlier versions of Fox there's no way I can consider it a "major breakthrough".

IntelliSense in VFP7 is fully extensible via VFP code in the FoxCode.dbf, it is a major breakthrough in that technology. Other product groups within Microsoft are already reviewing VFP 7.0 and its great IntelliSense open architecture for future product enhancements.

>Some people have chosen to take remarks like this and interpret them as MS saying, "Upgrade/Purchase NOW or the future of Fox is jeopardized". I resent people trying to make me feel guilty about not upgrading yet.

That is never what I said in any way or form. People ask me how they can help me and the Fox team, and I indicated that one of many ways is to educate other VFP developers about the great features in VFP 7.0 and encourage them to upgrade, it will help them and obviously help in my efforts. The FoxPro community is very important to the future of FoxPro, just like any customer base of any product, nothing unique or different from any other business here. You should not feel threatened or pressured in any way. VFP develpers who upgrade to VFP 7.0 that I talk to are very happy and satisfied. If and when you decide to upgrade, I will look forward to your feedback, good or bad. My goal is to do as much as I can for the FoxPro community, and also seek out new customers to help grow the Fox community where I can. My message at DevCon was: Working together, we can build a bigger and better FoxPro community.
