>Thanks Jerry for the quick responce. Now another dumb question. What is the command to get into the xwindow setup?
Well now, we're heading into memory territory, and for a 60 year old that's scarry!
First, RedHat has a "HOWTO" documentation section that includes how to setup XWindows. But, because a lot of folks running MS IIS servers aren't smart eought to secure their box, a new variation of the CodeRed worm is really hammering the internet and connections are very slllow.
Red Hat keeps the xwindows configuration file at /etc/X11/XF86Config .
Red Hat has its own Xwindows configuration program called Xconfigurator. IF you select it from a KDE or GNOME menu, or run it from a term you will be able to setup your video. Since you will be overwriting your configuration file be sure to copy it to a another location in case you need to restore it! :)
