That may be old information. I believe you can use and distribute OWC without Office, but, it would be Read-Only - no interaction. This is from the help file in the free download:
"No Office XP, Office XP applications, or site licenses Users can view and print the components in view-only mode, but they cannot interact with the components or use the design capabilities."

I would like to get this cleared up though - maybe some of the MS people have the info we need as far as including OWC with applications..
