I use SQL 2000 with Web Release 2 to import large amounts of XML data into a database. This works fine until the XML file contains special characters like this (sorry for the Dutch content, but I'm not aware of any Englisch words with such characters):

    België

When I try to process this XML file I get the message:
'An invalid character was found in text content.'

Next I modified the XML file like this:

But I got the same message. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
