actually i am writing a replication module. It will retrieve the update data from branches and update to main database in head office. I have a standard method that will update records to main database from forwarded table. However, Some of the tables may be some extra process such as update points to member base on the member sales.
In my design, I would like to run this process after the sales table being updated. Therefore, I need to have TRANSACTION in order to make sure the sales records are updated and member's points also updated. If any one of it failed, the whole updating process to main database and member table must be rollback.
Any ideas?
