Friends:

I would like be able to calculate the distance between the last object on any given page whether it be a table or text, and the top of the footer on that page.

I want to be able to fill in any sizeable "gap" with something meaningfull like a box/grid or textbox with a statement like "continued on next page" displayed, or, resize the data in the footer so that the gap between the last page object and the footer is more appropriately spaced.

I am processing RTF data and then opening the RTF data in Word. The RTF data produces mostly irregular tables in a "form" type layout (as opposed to free flowing text).

When Word sorts out the layout (depending on the variable RTF data contents - like tables/rows that shouldn't break across different pages), sometimes, an inappropriate gap between the last page object and the top of the footer is created.

So, "after the fact", I need to use VFP/Word automation to "refine" the page's appearance. I may have to do this on each page of the document.

Any tips or techniques (or code fragments <s>) very much appreciated.
-=Gary
