My reasons for not upgrading yet: fairly firm SP1 policy, I'm not a full-time developer, no time to learn it, current maintenance/enhancement commitments with projects using earlier versions, framework vendors not exploiting/requiring it yet.
You, Ken and others have made valid points on why, for many people, VFP7 is worth the upgrade/purchase. I'm not going to respond to individual details/comments but I'd like to make some general observations.PMFJI, but I would just add one thing (This is not directed at you Al, but just in general)...
I'm sure there are those out there that, as much as they would like to upgrade, can't. If their company/client doesn't buy into it, for whatever reason, it's not going to happen and it's no fault of the developer(s).
I can print out all the articles in the world and show my client that FoxPro
can do this, or that, or whatever, but if upper management isn't convinced (and they rarely listen to developers, right?), it's not going to happen.
Sorry if I've stated the obvious...
