Walter, let me add my pet wish to your excellent list: I wish I could say SET ENGINE TO SQL SERVER and be able to read/write that data transparently from VFP with all VFP commands (SCAN, REPLACE, in line SQL SELECT, etc.).

That would be a jump as jaw dropping as those Al Doman mentioned for FoxBase over dBase (6X faster), FoxPro 1.0 (windowing under DOS), and FoxPro 2.0 (SQL SELECT). Everybody would have to buy it, not just current VFP users. It would drive SQL Server sales too.

Yes I know SQL Server is set oriented and VFP is not, but it would still be wonderful. It would open the future for us with our current skill set and pair SQL Server with an excellent front end.
