"Interface" may or may not be the right word.

I've been trying to look at VFP development from a broad perspective. What I'd like to do is work with data off a server on the Internet as easily as locally or over an intranet.

At this point, personally, I'd rather not get mired down on implementation details. I'd rather focus on what to do, not how to do it. Worrying about implementation details just limits the possible solutions.

If a lot of Internet servers are Unix/Linux based it would be great if such a server/component could be installed there.
