My point was you need to open the document that they start with and look at how that bookmark is setup. Based on the information you gave, it looks like their bookmark is just a position just prior to the [ACCOUNTNUM] instead of the entire [ACCOUNTNUM] string. You/they will never know if this is the case until you open the doc and follow the steps I gave you.
>I am using their document and it works. They use their document and it does not. The vfp/word automation process opens the doc, performs the bookmark subs, prints the doc, and then closes the doc - discarding the changes. So i dont edit the doc - its unchanged.

>>Open their unchanged document in Word -- the document that just has [ACCOUNTNUM]. On the menu click Insert, then Bookmark. Find that bookmark in the list, click on it, the click the GoTo button. The entire string [ACCOUNTNUM] should then be selected. If not, click Cancel button. In the document, select the entire string. Click Insert, Bookmark again. Make sure the correct bookmark is selected, then click the Add button. Save the document.
