>Jim is actually on the right track here. There are some machines that don't utilize memory as efficiently as others, and VFP is famous for mismananging its memory buffers. I would play with the buffers. The first thing I do when I get a new machine is adjust the buffer settings to optimize VFP. I can get a 20% performance gain by doing so. If you are interested I can email you an article on the subject. It's time consuming to get the perfect buffer settings for your machine but the results are worth the effort.

I would be interested in seeing the article. I've no clue about setting the buffers and the advantage of doing so. Here's my email: mchugh@gebo-indust.com

Vlad had an idea that looked interesting. Since the program's function is to launch other programs. I could have it launch one to turn itself off. Then re-launch it. It would fix the problem. But I would still not understand what caused it.

Thanks
Mike
