You have to have IIS to get this to work. A virtual directory maps to a real directory on the IIS machine. For instance, you can have a directory d:\MyWebService on a local drive. You can create an IIS virtual directory that maps to this, so that when a user types
http://myserver.com/MyWebService/default.asp, the request is mapped to d:\MyWebService\default.asp on the server.
