>We have a client running our VFP 6.0 exe. They have been running Novell 4.11 and they upgraded to 5 I guess (not sure what version of 5). Each workstation was running win98 and the new novell client. Once they put the new novell client on, some (SOME) of the workstations would hang when trying to start our EXE. Others though didn't. On the ones that did, they changed win98 to use the microsoft novell client and it worked fine. Anybody seen issues with novell clients.

Hi, Kirk.
I'm running a large VFP6 app on a NetWare 5.0 file server with W2k, Win98 and NT workstations. Here are a few suggestions to alleviate the problem.
1. Try using the Novell client uninstall program to clean out any problematic registry entries and dll's. Then reinstall the client software (rev 3.3 SP3).
2. Be sure the workstation has sufficient RAM. We have at least 128MB in each.
3. Check that your using Win98 second edition on the workstations.
4. Double check that whoever's having the problem has adequate rights to the software and its data.
5. If you're running the app from the file server, try moving it locally on each workstation. The problem may actually be network card or cable related, which can be a bear to track down.
Good luck!
