Doug;

We went to Las Vegas once, in 1993. It took 1/2 hour to get acros the strip from any direction. Driving down the strip would take too long so we tried to avoid it. We tried driving across the strip at all hours of the day and night with the same results - 1/2 hour to cross the intersection. Lots of traffic is an understatement. We were told this was "normal".

It seems there were more 7 Eleven stores in Las Vegas than any place in the country. In many cases there were 7 Eleven stores on opposite street corners. It turned out that 7 Eleven bought out a chain of similar stores, that also sold gasoline.
