Thank you Tamar,
Sometimes I forget the basic rules. The problem is still the one programmer who cannot run the file on his computer. I'm totally confused at this point. When I originally tried to run the program (see original post) I had the same problem. I discovered that I had some config.fpw and startup program problems. Solved those and the program runs everywhere else but on his computer. He still gets a "cannot update cursor" error.
Now another clue. Open the table from the Main Menu icon. Then browse from the View button. He cannot edit the table. HELP???
Haven't found anything in Tools/Options, but then again, I'm not sure what I'm looking at.
