A whole lot of wishes never seem to come true, but that doesn't stop people from submitting them.
And some of this may not be so far-fetched since the moving of VFP "out of the box" has, as one of its stated benefits, permitting VFP to follow its own path (separate in total from VS).
I'm not so sure about "native compilation" myself. I guess that your objective is speed and only speed. IF that is the case, then:
1) machines are cheaper today by far and SO FAST (non-I/O-wise) that it can hardly be an issue;
2) I recollect a rather strong warning in VB6 documentation (yes, VB, not VFP) that compiled code will not necessarily run faster.
