In Feb. I bought a Dell notebook (C800) with Win2K SP1 installed. It has been running fine since, save for a problem with Office2000 that I installed separately.

SP2 has now been available for several months, so I felt it was probably safe to install it now.

I went to do so today and found, to my surprise a statement in the "Software Instructions" saying "Windows 2000 SP2 is not considered a required upgrade.".

So I decided to put it off until I checked here to learn what people's experience has been with it.

Any experiences or warnings about SP2?
