Hi Ken,
My setup is almost exactly like Renoir's.
My ADSL line connects to a Cisco 675 router setup as a DHCP server. While the IP address is supposed to be dynamic, it hasn't changed in 1.5 years, but that makes no difference as to how you set it up. A cable connects the Cisco router to an ethernet card (eth0) in my wife's PC. A second NIC (eth1) connects to a passive 4 port NetGear hub. From the hub, shielded twisted pair (C5) cables connect to the other two computers on my network. Each machine accesses the Internet as if it were the only box connected, even simultaneously. Very nice. I setup an ipchains firewall on my wife's box for security, and the apache httpd deamon service is not running. I also turned off remote web portal on the Cisco to prevent it from being blocked by the SirCam virus.

Works beautifully. Port scanners say they cannot see a computer at my location.
