Speaking of killing VFP ...

"Everyone" (except VFP programmers) has been learning and using "data access" object models like DAO, ADO, etc.

A programmer who has used ADO in a Web page (ie. scripting), can also apply that knowledge to VB, VC++, etc.

A "server side component" that's driven using a xBase dialect will only be understood by ... xBase programmers !

This preoccupation with the VFP "native data engine" may wind up killing the product yet. Maybe we should all be looking a little harder at incorporating ADO (or whatever the current flavor is) into our VFP apps.
