>I am using VFP for Mac. I have 2 applications with this basic structure. A startup.prg that is set MAIN that sets up the environment and then READ EVENTS and DO FORM mainscreen. The problem I have is that sometimes when you run the complied application it shows the FoxPro Screen with a box in the center of it and then hangs up. You then have to force the app to quit with alt-apple-esc. This is the exactly the same behavior you will get if you try to run the VFP OwerMac support library file. If you then change the view options for the folder(ie. from small icon to large icon) it will work. It also seems to hang more often if you are using a alias to run the application.

Everytime I run the setup wizard I get partway through and then I get a System Error 11 and the computer restarts. I have run Setup wizard before without any trouble for some other applications, only this one causes a problem. I remember seeing something about a bug in the setup wizard somewhere on MS web, but I haven't been able to find it again.

Shane,
MS didn't write VFP using the normal Mac libraries, and it shows.. If they (MS) had used the standard libraries, then it would not be so buggy.. However, to do this, VFP for the Mac would not be using the same codebase as the Win version...

I worked with a Mac developer at my former office, and saw how nice the Mac's are, just not well supported any more by the major software houses.. yes, MS is now dumping some $$ into Apple, and making a new version of Office for the Mac, but how long with this continue??

Thanx!
