Search UT for many discussions of this topic. Shortly, Access have two major setbacks:
1. Choked in multi-user mode when more than 30-40K records in a table.
2. Very limited from programming standpoint (limited set of function/commands, etc.)
Basically, as stated by MS, Access is End-User Tool, and VFP is Developer Tool.
