I only meant that I typically don't use DO WHILE in the particular case of scanning through a table. I'll use it wherever else it may be appropriate.

Yes, it ran a bit slower with an index set (as one would expect it to). But there was no change at all whether WHILE !EOF() was used or not on the indexed scan. I even tried DO WHILE !EOF() (which I never use, but wanted to test anyway).
