Hi, Doug and everyone else that have helped!

Sorry that I am just now replying to you. I ran my 'Pack and Reindex' program on the same day that I heard from James Weil. It did not appear to me at first that it could be bad data because there were other things that were happening at that time that influenced my thoughts. Plus, the program was only two weeks old. I did not think that my data could go wrong so early but I realized that the absence of referential integrity checks, which I removed temporarily because it was slowing down some processes for me, could be causing some of the problem.

Anyway, since I put back my referential integrity checks and packed and reindexed the data on 9/21, I have not been aware of the problem recurring. I have been closely monitoring the data and the program and the end users have been doing the same. At this point, it seems like my problem disappeared.

Thanks to Doug for his info regarding the VFP bug. It explains more to me how my problem got solved.

Have a good day!

Evelyn
