Hi, George.
>Interesting information about Ken and Ricardo. I've always thought, however, that the request of OO menus and reports have to be considered separately in terms of what they involve. In some ways they're similiar, in others, very different.

Completely agree. I don't think refactoring reports (at least just to make them OO) would be SO complex. Not necesarilly harder than Intellisense -to use Jim's measure of complexity.
Menus would be a different thing because they "generated", but this could be accomplished somehow. I know menus in VC++ are resources, but this is a fault, too, not a feature.
My main product is a suite of accounting and manufacturing applications with a dozen main modules, plus a good deal of customized modules. You can imagine how much needed are OO menus. And for many smaller shops it could be the same, I think.
What we do now is tho have a set of menus that compounds the final one, and some tricks using Andrew Ross MacNeill old GenMenuX.
But, anyway, don't they gave us forms and classes and devised a kludge to convert the old @..say screens? I think Menus are quite simple once you resolve the compatibility issue.
Going back to the origin of this thread, I think that if you can figure a good propossal for the VFP Team about thhis two features, may be we could convinve them a little more.
Can we make a draft? Is here the best place, or perhaps a wiki?
