If you create your menu and add the pad you want to be 'invisible' and create the submenu or whatever. Then create a .mpr file. Open the .mpr as a program and edit the pad you want to be invisible to look like this-- DEFINE PAD _0ho0z4749 OF _MSYSMENU PROMPT '' (delete the rest of the line and leave the bar definitions). Nothing will show up on your menu bar but when you click in the area the submenus will drop down. HTH
