I am converting a VFP6.0 task to VFP7.0. The compiled VFP6.0 .exe file works perfectly and is in regular use. With VFP7.0 the same program works fine by running "main" in the VFP IDE; it compiles without errors; the .exe works by "do task.exe" in the VFP command box. But running the .exe from a desktop shortcut, the "run ..." box, or clicking in Explorer fails, i.e., there is no task window. However, the task manager shows there is a process running with the task.exe name but no application. I followed the program startup by putting messagebox commands in the code. They appear as expected right up to the READ EVENTS line but not after, just as it should. Messageboxes also appear if placed in the init event of the first form - but no form appears. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Thanks very much for any suggestions!
