I can't seem to find the rest of this thread. All I can find is what's below, so I'll assume problem is not resolved.

Welcome to the Club! Look up MS KB#Q168055. "Files Saved to Novell Server May Give Read-Only Message".

Hopefully upgrading your NETWARE client to the very latest will fix your problem. If not, Replace it with the MS client. However, with the MS client you will lose some functionality such as NPRINT and possibly PCONSOLE.
We haven't found a full complete answer yet.
