I missed the first half hour, but I don't care much for Scott B. either. I do think that they were trying to make the point that Star Fleet is new, and they are still in the process of building their ideals, protocols, and professionalism.

Besides, can you really remember anything besides the sexy "shower scene"? <g> Not typical Trek stuff, and probably something the UPN interjected.
