A year ago when I checked with Microsoft on this very issue the response I received was that if I purchased a valid copy of Visual Foxpro for each licence of FoxDos I planned on using then it would be okay. Now the Visual copy was not to be used, only the license.
What some of you are talking about in regards to using Microsoft 'AbondonWare' FPW or FoxDos is technically still illegal. Microsoft has not, at least to my knowledge, released any of their old Fox software into the public domain or released it as FreeWare. Even if they don't sell nor support it they still contain full copyright on their software. Until they do so, I would suggest purchasing a valid VFP license for every copy you plan on using just to be safe.
