>>I _was_ disappointed in the swearing and the sexy "disinfectant lotion" scene. Star Trek is a family affair for us and I saw no need for either the bad language or hands lingering over her stomach, etc. Besides, disinfecting like that makes no sense. They would use aerosols or a shower, not lather each other with lotion.

I saw only the last half hour, but I caught one line that made me laugh: "everyone hold on to something" - "why don't we get seat belts installed". Unfortunately, the latter history has shown this was never accepted, as we have seen dozens of people hitting control panels with their heads on the bridge.
Another curious effect (in TNG, DS9 and Voyager) is that the gravity is the only thing which almost never fails. I've seen Voyager torn to pieces, having lost light, air, half the hull etc - but never lost gravity. Sort of expensive to make, eh?
