Thanks very much. I have been searching and gave up, so I called MS for help. There is a hotfix that fixes this problem for win2000, metaframe and VFP6. The problem is that with win 2000 and metaframe 1.8, the OS uses 1 file handle for all users with VFP6 Apps. The first user logged on creates the file handle. All users after the first user that logged on uses the first users file handle. When the first user logs off, all other users logged in get the error reading file because all files are closed for all users. This hotfix is needed to fix this problem and can only get it through MS. It fixed it immediately for me. Thank you very much....
