Well, Paramount said the Caption Archer would be more like Kirk than Picard. Let's see... there's been one episode and he's kissed the alien woman, been in several fist fights and shoot outs, led the senior officers into danger, took off on a risky plan without consulting Star Fleet, argued with ambassadors...
Yep! That definitely sounds more like Kirk.
