I went through this research about 2 years ago. After a ton of research and discussions with many other developers, we decided on Visual FoxExpress from F1 Technologies. This has more than met our needs. While it meets all of the requirements of a good framework, the overall greatest advantage has been the 24/7 forum where someone is always (whether it is tech support or another framework user) responding to questions posted. Additionally, it speeds up development time tremendously!!! And Bob Archer and Dan Jurden's book on Creating Visual FoxPro Applications with Visual Fox Express is really a great step-by-step tutorial as well as a great reference (you can also find great tips and tricks from both of them on the F1Tech forum by the way). I know there are other frameworks that other developers will swear by also (CodeBook and VisualMaxFrame I seriously considered, and NOTHING in my opinion can beat West Wind's Web Connection for web-based design), but I would also look at the n-tier abilities of the framework. Will the framework allow for both a logical separation of the different tiers as well as a possible physical separation of the tiers? (This could be a major issue down the road...) Just my 2 cents worth...
