>>I am currently starting to evaluate VFP frameworks, there are several and they look good. Anyone have any opinions (good and bad) on any? I seem to be stuck with the thought "If I knew what I wanted from a framework I could evaluate them", but having no framework experience its hard to evaluate them!

You brought back memories of Codebook. I attended the Flash Road Show in San Francisco, November of 1995, along with 24 other developers. It was very well done, with Savannah Brentnall giving us two days of OOP training and Leslie gave three days training on use of Codebook. We spent that Thursday trying to follow the instructions from the Codebook 3.0 but we could not make it work. Leslie sent an e-mail to Phil, who mailed back a 17 page document on how to set up Codebook. We spent all day Friday trying to get a new application to work using the new document, without success. After many hours at home I got Codebook to work and enjoyed using it.
Since then I have used a number of frameworks depending upon an applications needs. It can be a nightmare sitting there by yourself trying to figure out a new technology.
I still call Codebook “the grandfather of all VFP frameworks”. It gave many of us a leap forward which I will not forget.
