Whereas the last generation of MCSD core tests distinguished between desktop and distributed applications, the new generation will offer tests that focus specifically on Windows and Web application development.

This is indeed interesting. Although it's not clear what is meant by "do away"; does that mean that there will be no more VFP exams or that there will be no new VFP exams for .Net?
The second option wouldn't be such of a surprise due to the fact that there were no new exams when VFP5 came out. The first option would be something to whine to the VFP team about.
Maybe someone from the fox team will chip in and clear this one out.
