Mid last week I went to "Update Windows". There it listed that I did not need any "Security Updates".

It listed IE5.5SP2 so I downloaded and installed it. All went well.

This morning I decided to "Update Windows" again and to my surprise it now listed a April 02 security update as being required. I believe strongly that I had previously installed that one!

I (re)installed it and all seems well.

But this has gotta be crap! Here I was comfortable that I had all security fixes installed and I only really went there to see if the Windows Media Player component that I had downloaded DURING the Ballmer video had been reflected as installed there now (it didn't seem to be) so I only ACCIDENTALLY found out about the "problem" which was none of my doing.

Boy, I sure hope they've cured stuff like this with the XP release!
