I understand BLOB fields are called "General" in VFP. (BLOB means "Binary Large Object.)
If there really was a built-in way to store "entire objects" - whatever that means - it might take up more space than if you store the properties, as already outlined.
When restoring properties, with the method outlined, you may have to check for R/O properties, which can't be overwritten (even overwriting with the same value would give an error message).

>Well, your solution is one way and if its not possible to store entire objects its probably the best way to deal with it. But i still hope that it is possible to store a COM-object. I've heard that in an SQLServer-base its possible to store something called a BLOB. The first B stands for binary. Its supossed to be a binary blob of data which you can restore to a real object.
