I've been having all kinds of problems since I upgraded earlier this year to 2K and wondered if I would be better off with XP. Any thoughts?

My understanding is that there is a separate XP for "home" versus "business" and that this release represents MS' finally achieving their goal of one common base for all of their operating system offerings.
XP is said to stand for "eXPerience" and has as its goal making its usage a pleasureable user experience.
I personally interpret this as meaning that a real whole lot of the stupid crappy goings-on of the past are fixed forever. Anything from "Large Fonts" not working exactly like "Small Fonts" displays across applications to DLL hell to retrograding updates like this to other stuff that aggravates and frustrates users.
I'll be watching initial reports and, if it lives up to this, then I will be buying it for sure.
Cheers
Jim
