Did you try to alter the TABLE, or a CURSOR? The point is that the ALTER TABLE command no longer works on CURSORS.

Sorry if I mis-understood, but reading through this thread, I see everyone is referring to tables and I'm wondering if you realize that Matt's problem is with cursors...?
