I can't argue that. To be honest, I didn't realize that the field name in the new cursor was being truncated when it was running under vfp6. I wasn't referencing that field directly in any code (just using scatters & gathers).

I guess if there's a lesson to be learned here, I'd say it's, "Long field names look nice, but should be avoided in any development effort". <g>
