Grid crash or behave inproperly when value returned by expression in the column is longer than 200 character or have different length/type for different rows.
BTW, you can use editbox in the grid column, it will display Memo field content completely when you provide anough space for editbox by using RowHeight property of grid.

>Thanks for your help. I used the alltrim option and it works unless there is more than a few lines of text in the memo field, in which case I get an error message saying 'string is too large'. Presumably this is because the width of the column limits the size of the string?
