>Just a thought - does the error only occur on certain records? In other words, can you reproduce it consistently. It might be intermittent if, say, the DESC field is NULL, or possibly if it is selected in a certain order and is, for example, the last field in the select (...and the value is null). I've had a look at some of my own code where I use DESC as a field-name but couldn't reproduce the error, even when the field-name was NOT qualified, so perhaps the error is linked to your data.

It was consistent. I mean without changing anything in the SQL clause that sometimes it generates a SQL with the field name and sometimes with EXP_1.
