Third party products
Joe,
The way I get it is to go the tools menu, select options, and click on the Controls tab. Click in the Active X Controls radio button, and scroll down the list till you come to Microsoft Rich Text Control (or something to that effect).
Then, when you create a form, activate the Form Controls toolbar, click on the books icon, and select Active X Controls. It should then appear, and you can dump it on a form.
I think this probably requires that you installed it during the VFP installation. And I'm referring to VFP 6 - it may be slightly different in other versions.
Then of course, when you create your setup, make sure you include the RTF control in the list of Active X controls.
Hope this helps.
David
Can you tell me where I can find the RTF control.

>>I do not know of a third-party product, but you may be able to use the RTF control. It has a property or method (can't remember which) which returns the text of an RTF document. I bet if you dump the RTF in there, then access that property, you'll get the straight text.

>>>Does anyone know of a third-party product that will convert RTF files to TXT format? We really need a program that will run on its own (a batch program) to convert mass quantities of files on a daily basis.

>>>TIA!
