Nope, none of those numbers are going to work. It should begin with 34297-OEM- etc., that indicating Compaq. As a test, I went to the link I gave you, filled in the form, and had a COA number in 15 minutes. YMMV.

Nope. The bootable disk gets you running with CDROM support in case the BIOS won't allow you to boot directly from the CD.
