Hmmm . . . it would appear that generally there no longer remains any concern for efficient use of disk space or even program speed, just "get a faster, bigger machine". ( This is not pointed at you, just thinking out loud :-) ) However, with software apparently outpacing hardware, it would seem that we should be concerned about such things.

Well, you should be able to pick-up an 8 Gb hard drive for about $500 (E-IDE of course)...that's less than an 800 Mb hard drive was a few years ago...
