Of course, it is MUCH better to store files. Either VFP or SQL server have certain hard-time things when working with BLOBS. Specially frustrating VFP's limitation to 2GB for FPT file (storing BLOBS in VFP memo field) or messing with workarounds to get/send data to SQL Server from VFP (see FAQ#7995). Anyway, to organize sequrity to hide certain group of BLOB files from users when using file system, you will require to have as many folders with sequrity settings as you have different sequrity groups.
