Well, I have now. Same result with an added bonus - it crashes VFP with an 'another user has already changed this data' error. One extra piece of information which may be helpfull - the code is designed to update the view one record at a time - this 'full parent table' update occurs on the first loop - when it should be updating just the first qualifying record.

The code you suggested below errors out at the second loop - when it should be updating the second record.
