It would not insure that the earliest meet_time was selected, but it would give you a meet_time for the earliest meetdate. Since meetings are yearly, this wasn't a problem. My report is running now, but I'll play around with your code a bit out of curiosity. What does the first select do - I don't see how it could affect the results of the second select.
